Meet the Team

Andrea Dixon, MA HBSW RSW – Andrea is a psychotherapist and registered social worker who has over 20 years of experience with a specialization in attachment & childhood trauma and is adoption-competent. Over the years Andrea has facilitated workshops, webinars, training and provided consultation to professionals and families across Canada. Andrea has developed a passion for helping parents and caregivers develop ways to become attuned to their child’s needs and implement effective parenting strategies that not only improve their child’s mental health but also strengthens attachment.

Andrea holds a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology and a honours degree in Social Work, she is a Registered Social Worker and a Trust-Based Relational Intervention® Practitioner. She has also completed training in Theraplay Level 1, Running DBT Skills Development Groups, Attachment Theory Level 1 & 2, Safe and Sound Protocol/Polyvagal Theory.

Julia Wilson, BSW MSW RSW- Julia is a skilled and compassionate therapist who believes in a family-centered and attachment focused therapeutic approach. She has a passion for strengthening family relationships to enhance healthy connection and promote family resilience. Julia earned a Master of Social Work with a clinical specialization in Infant, Child, and Adolescent Mental Health and has since pursued advanced training in Systemic Family Therapy and Play Therapy. Her dedication to continuous learning allows her to provide effective evidence-based treatment for a wide range of concerns, including communication difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, trauma, anxiety, and parent-child conflict.

With experience in early childhood mental health and school-based mental health settings, Julia has developed a deep understanding of the complex mental health needs of children and adolescents as well as the impact on their families. Julia’s warm and supportive demeanour creates a safe environment where families feel comfortable to express themselves and work towards their goals.
