Angela Bhatia

Angela strives to build connection with your child and your family in order to better understand your child’s strengths, challenges, and goals. Angela BhatiaShe has a passion for collaborating with children and their caregivers to provide strategies that fit children’s unique needs and interests. She works from a culturally safe and anti-oppressive lens in order to provide high quality empathetic care for folks with diverse lived experiences and social circumstances.

Angela completed her Master of Occupational Therapy degree at the University of Manitoba, with past experience working in school occupational therapy and community-based care for folks with developmental disabilities. She is attuned to the complexity of personal, social, and environmental factors that impact children’s abilities. As a life-long learner, she also has experience as a Research Assistant, and uses her research skills to ensure her practice is evidence-informed.

Her overarching goal is to understand the holistic factors that impact children’s participation in their social environments in home, school and community. As such, Angela provides assessments and strategies for sensory processing, cognition, gross and fine motor (such as movement, mobility, and printing), emotional regulation, social relationship building, and play-based therapy, to name a few. She is also able to provide home visits to collaborate on strategies and adaptations related to daily living challenges; such as, sleep, feeding, dressing, bathing, grooming, and toileting.
